It seems surreal entering Richmond Park, entering countryside tucked away hidden within the city of London and to see these majestic animals at ease with the cars, cyclists, walkers and runners. It's a truly beautiful place to go if you ever visit London...
My two weight training sessions this week have been pretty enjoyable. I've made really good progress with the technique and my lower back troubles seem to have gone. I got through the sessions quickly and on Wednesday's visit I even managed to get into the ice-bath without even flinching!
In other news I've figured out that with a bit of determination I can get up early each morning and get in a couple of hours on the bike before lectures and on the weekends if I were to do 4 hours on the weekend I could get 18 hours of training in a week. It's quite a bit of an increase on what I'm currently doing, also considering the weight training and university commitments among other activities, but hopefully given time I'll be able to work towards somewhere near this amount of training.
Along with providing a training diary of what I'm up to on the bike, I fill these forms out 24hrs and 48hrs after each weight training session marking down how sore my legs feel on this 'visual analogue scale' immediately after performing a squat.
